These four original hand carved wood wall sculptures are one of the latest artworks of the skillful Bulgarian contemporary sculptor Nikolay Martinov, deeply inspired by abstract geometry, pop art and contemporary cubism. The artist's concept with this combination of contrast colors is to open up a relaxing and calming effect onto the viewer and trigger his/her inner vitality. It is one extraordinary woodcarving masterpiece and exquisite home wall décor.
Nikolay Martinov’s work encompasses many contemporary art styles with the act of minimal drawing being key to his exploration of form and sculptural composition. Mining a space between figuration and abstraction, the artist consistently returns to nature as a point of departure, exploring algorithmic forms and urban shapes as a metaphor for transformation.
