These original botanical eco prints on natural wool felt is one of the latest artworks of the talented professional Bulgarian artist Irina Goleva, deeply inspired by ecology, naturalism and postimpressionism. Eco printing is a form of natural dyeing where the colors from plant and flower material are transferred to fabric via steaming or boiling. It is printed on 100% natural wool felt with organic materials like flowers, eucalyptus leaves and plants, and the beautiful framing is wooden, make by the Yakisugi technique. Yakisugi is an ancient Japanese woodworking tradition of preserving wood with fire. It highlights the natural color and texture of wood, makes it more weather-resistant and durable for centuries.
