2019, "Frankenstein" - stone sculpture
This original large melted red tuff sculpture is handcrafted by the Bulgarian national famous contemporary sculptor Ognyan Chitakov. It has authentic natural charm, mixed with the delicate and unique artistic signature and skills. Tuff is a type of rock made of volcanic ash ejected from a vent during a volcanic eruption. It hasn't reached the temperatures at which it melts. The artist's concept has provoked this process by melting the volcanic ash rock and turning it into the actual lava state, so that the unfinished process of nature can be completed. This exquisite art object brings its beautiful craftsman attention to detail, conceptual precision and top quality.
