The exhibition presents the new works by the artists Silvia Pavlova (mixed media painting) and Rasho Mitev (stone sculpture). The artworks are created especially for this event, and each of them reveals different images, details, moments of life in the big city, its rich colors, vivid colorfulness, but at the same time - pure naturalness and organic abstraction.
"The main idea behind "Urban-de-tales" is to recreate the lack of boundaries between the extremes, between the opposites in our perceptions. Their symbiosis reflects the extremes in which we are all placed this year 2022, creating a unique creative environment where images, fashion and style meet nature, matter and casual expression, through their small details. For this purpose, the two artists worked for several months on the subject, through the means of contemporary female portraiture and geometric abstraction in stone sculpting. The presented original artworks purposefully contrast each other at first glance, welcoming into the viewer an unique process of complementation."
Silvia Pavlova is born in 1979 in the city of Sofia. Daughter of an artist, whose talent came to her naturally and although at a period in her life she wanted to develop in the fields of fashion, cinema and literature, fine art remained her true artistic line on which she further developed her interests. Gradually, it took the main stage in her life, turning her into an active creator who loves and masters her work. In 2006, he graduated from the New Bulgarian University with a master degree in fine arts and stage design. Ever since she has had numerous solo exhibitions in Bulgaria, Austria, Germany and Italy. Her unique contemporary style recalls the techniques of modernism, secession and colorist naive art, always touching the heart and bringing joy. Nowadays it has already thousands of fans all over the world, and her new works sell out immediately after creation.
Rasho Mitev is born in 1976 in Stara Zagora. He has a master degree of education in fine art sculpture at the National Art Academy. Ever since he lives and works in the beautiful Rhodope mountains town of Smolyan. There among rocks and vast dense forests, he finds his pure and natural ways of expression through the sculptural form in solid stone and wood. He has extremely rich experience as a contemporary Bulgarian sculptor with numerous participations in group exhibitions throughout the whole country. Many of his sculptures in stone and bronze can be seen in private collections all over Bulgaria. He loves to follow the natural shape of the material and work with extreme precision on the art details. The final artistic performance is both subtle pure and roughly naturalistic in its hand carved perfection and organic texture, formed over millions of years of the planet's history.
